Republican Party of Buchanan County Virginia
  1. Purpose
    Our purpose is to promote and promulgate the principles of the Republican Party, to encourage qualified candidates to run for public office, to elect Republican candidates to public office, to assist generally the citizens composing the seven magisterial districts served by the officials in the execution of their responsibilities.
  2. Unit Meetings
    Unless otherwise stated, unit meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 7 PM at the Buchanan County Courthouse, Board of Supervisors' Room (1012 Walnut St., Grundy, VA). Please check our News and Events page to find out if a specific monthly meeting has been cancelled.
  3. Organization
    Our committee is part of the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV). Our county has representation on the 9th Congressional District Republican Committee, and 9th District Representatives on the RPV State Central Committee.

That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government
That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing constitutional limitations
That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense
That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers, is essential to the moral fibre of the Nation
